Title: Engineer or Mathematician

Abstract 

My academic career took me from a practical EE path (as a teenager and a technical officer in IDF) to mathematically-oriented directions.  In my talk, I will try to give the flavor of the original research questions I dealt with, and how they turned into mathematical formulations and results. There are some pros and cons to this "EE-math transformation", and perhaps some moral for the young researchers...
